For Nova Fides, the quality of the fabrics is of the utmost importance. This is why the company has an in-house laboratory that carries out different types of tests to meet customer standards.
Each year, the laboratory carries out around 2000 tests. This collaboration is essential for some brands and it also speeds up controls on the quality of fabrics while avoiding hold-ups in the production process.
International brands have recognized the NF Laboratory for its tests carried out on fabrics, following standards set by the customer.
WHAT TESTS ARE CARRIED OUT

The dimensional stability test is used to ensure that the fabric, under certain conditions, is not subjected to dimensional variations, such as shrinkage. Dry, water and steam tests are conducted.
The color fastness tests inspect the color discharge of the fabric and serve to understand if the color is properly fixed.
Calculating the pH of aqueous extract
Calculating the pH of aqueous extract test is carried out to measure the compatibility of fabrics when in direct contact with the skin in order to avoid triggering any allergic or inflammatory reactions.

The determination of pH of aqueous extract test is carried out to measure the compatibility of the textiles when in direct contact with the skin, to avoid the possibility of triggering allergic or inflammatory reactions.
Tearing, seam slippage, rips and abrasion resistance. Calculating tensile strength consists of a set of physical tests that use specialized machinery to reveal fabric resistance when subjected to certain stress.
